A synopsis of Guinguettes: In the 18th century, consumerism took isolated villages outside Paris by storm. Commodities, including alcohol, outside the city limits were considerably cheaper. Guinguettes became the fashion, offering food, drinks and dancing in a picturesque country setting. Today a guinguette is refered to in France as a waterside refreshment place.
Dolores Bauman will play old swiss favorites with her Accordeon.
