<p>This event called initially &ldquo;Fete de la Musique&rdquo; was created by the French Ministry of Culture 25 years ago. It is a unique festival of free concerts in public spaces. Given its great success, this gathering of professionals and amateur musicians has spread to more than 320 cities around the world.</p>
<p>For its second edition, Make Music Houston will present over ten bands from country to rock through pop.</p>
<p>So join us at West Alabama IceHouse, a classic Texan ice house. This open air beer bar is a great place to hang out while listening to live music with the whole family. Other pleasant diversions include a water slide and a stand of French food.</p>

<p>On Sunday June 20, the <a href="http://www.consulfrance-houston.org/" target="_blank">Consulate General of France in Houston</a> will organize &ldquo;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/makemusichouston" target="_blank">Make Music Houston&rdquo;</a> also called &ldquo;Fete de la musique&rdquo; and is searching for musicians and bands to perform on that occasion each showcase shouldn&rsquo;t last more than 20 minutes.</p>
