March 26th/St Thomas . An academic lecture given by André Ladousse on Cultural diversity : Ideas from the French Speaking World. The conference is hosted by the Department of International Studies and is held in English. The event is followed by a reception of the French American Chamber of Commerce at the Menil Collection. March 25th/Alliance Française de Houston. A friendly reception-debate in French and in English on the Role of French Language in the XXIst Century is led by André Ladousse.. Free entrance.
André Ladousse taught in the University of Bordeaux and the Sorbonne in Paris, in the field of English and American studies. Most of his career was spent with the Cultural Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, and as Director General in the International Organization of “Francophonie”. His whole career has been devoted to the study and the practice of cultural diversity. He holds an “Agrégation” of English language and literature.
